As part of Law Week, The Prison Network and BSWAC Human Library invite you to 'borrow' a living book.
Our 'books' are real people — individuals who have experienced incarceration, educators, and those working within the justice system — who volunteer to share their personal stories in open, one-on-one conversations.
How it works:
Attendees choose a 'book' and engage in a 30-minute conversation. Each book brings a unique perspective shaped by their lived experience, with the aim of breaking down stereotypes, reducing stigma, and building genuine understanding of the justice system and the people connected to it. This isn't about advice or invasive questions, it's about respectful, curious conversation.
