Telling our Stories Workshop

The Humans of Christchurch Team have been collecting and sharing stories of people in the community since 2017. In this two part workshop, they will share their knowledge and experiences as part of the dynamic group of volunteer storytellers.

Learn the skills and techniques used to produce the short format stories like those published by Humans of Christchurch Otautahi. The first session will focus on the interview and writing component including how to engage, connect, listen, transcribe.

The second session will be about photography - capturing a portrait which helps to tell the story. Gain the confidence and technical skills to create relatable images on your camera or smartphone that help to tell your story.
