In the new world of work, our passions, talents and what brings us fulfilment are blended into our roles and celebrated in our cultures. In this Humming Session, you’ll learn how to supercharge your culture by inviting your people to bring their passions to work. We’ll share frameworks that marry the commercial and heart-felt, and share stories of values-led companies that do this every day.

Session outcomes include:

• Learn how and why personal passions matter at work
• Gain practices to combine your people's roles and passions
• Apply common principles for piloting new cultural practices

Hosted by Annie Simpson, Co-Founder and Chief Consulting Officer of Modern People. She works with key decision-makers to bridge the gap between profit and purpose, ushering in a new era of Purposeful cultures and leaders. There is an opportunity for business to move beyond the traditionally transactional culture of employee and workplace. Modern People was founded in 2019 with the purpose of humanising the new world of work. Annie and her team connect businesses to a new way of thinking and working, combining science, strategy and philosophy.

What is Humming Sessions?

They are monthly lunch-and-learn sessions hosted for our team and our clients’ teams we all hum together even greater! It is hosted by Sponge over Zoom on the last Thursday of each month (excluding holidays), and we bring in an amazing guest speaker (like Annie!) to facilitate an important topic.

The Cost 

Free for Sponge clients! You will have been sent a code to use at the checkout to make it so. Non-clients are welcome to attend by purchasing a ticket at the advertised price.

All funds generated through ticket sales are donated to our current Double the Goodness grant recipients. At present there are two:

Detour House Inc, a wonderful organisation that provides accommodation and care to women and girls in the heart of Sydney through two services – Detour House and The Girls Refuge.

Scriibed, an early-stage, female-founded business providing professional transcription and engaging vulnerable women in safe, secure, and flexible employment, wrap-around supports, and partnered programs.
