Humn Workplace Investigations Webinar Series - Free to come along
Workplace investigations are rarely straightforward. The decisions made before the first interview can significantly influence whether an investigation is fair, safe, defensible and ultimately useful to the organisation.
Join Belinda Matijevic for Humn three part Workplace Investigations Webinar Series, exploring some of the most challenging and consequential aspects of workplace investigations.
And Belinda will not be doing it alone.
Across the series, Belinda will be joined by three special guests who will share their own war stories, real examples and lessons from workplace investigations. They will unpack what actually happens when things get complicated, what can go wrong, the decisions that matter and what they wish organisations had considered earlier.
These will be practical conversations grounded in real experience, not hypothetical scenarios.
Across the three sessions, Belinda and her guests will explore topics including:
early triage, immediate risk and investigation scope
independence, conflicts and deciding who should investigate
evidence preservation, documentation and procedural fairness
psychosocial risks that can emerge during an investigation
difficult decisions and unexpected complications
defensible decision making and findings
what happens when an investigation process itself creates further risk
what investigations can reveal about broader organisational and system issues
lessons from complex workplace matters and cases that did not go according to plan.
The Humn approach goes beyond simply determining whether an allegation is substantiated. We consider the investigation itself as part of the organisation’s risk management system, with a focus on protecting people, testing evidence fairly and identifying what the organisation can learn and improve.
Coming soon: Humn Academy Workplace Investigations Program
The series will also provide a first look at our upcoming Humn Academy Workplace Investigations Program, designed for people who conduct, commission or oversee workplace investigations.
The program will move beyond presentation only training, using applied case work, practical tools, decision exercises and facilitator feedback to build capability that can be applied to real workplace matters.
