Hungry to Help: Maitland
Event description
With most households wasting (on average) a fifth of the food they buy at the shops, how can we help ensure we are part of the solution and that our communities have enough food to eat?
In this session, we unpack the scale of food insecurity and hunger in Australia and the impact of this issue on local communities and connect the dots between food lost or wasted and meals that could be provided to others. This session will provide actions anyone can undertake to minimise their own food waste, when at home or in the community.
Join our free, interactive workshop with Good for the Hood founder Jo Taranto. You’ll connect with other changemakers, explore those big ideas and walk away with a plan to put them into action.
