You will have time to wander through the Vineyard and Olive Grove. Checking into our new home for the next two nights at newly refurbished Harrigan’s Hunter Valley. The refurbishments have given Harrigan’s a great new contemporary look while still staying true to its rustic roots, fireplaces, booths, and other charming architectural features. Dinner tonight is in Harrigan’s Terrace, a brand new spacious outdoor alfresco area at 18:00. Pizza, Pasta, and Wings are on the menu tonight.

Day 2: After breakfast we will depart around 09:40 to arrive in Newcastle and wander along the Newcastle Memorial Walk. Heading off by 11:00 to Escape Zone. Will we Explore Wonderland in Journey Through Wonderland or save Newcastle from disaster in Meltdown!  Worked up the munchies? Well good because we now head over to Hunter Valley Cheese Co. for our cheese tasting experience. Hunter Valley Cheese Co. cheeses are handmade and preservative free, using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients. They make their own range of over 50 different regional chutneys, flavoured oils, and jams to complement their cheeses. Back at Harrigan’s you will have time to go for a wander or relax before dinner. Dinner tonight is again in Harrigan’s Terrace, at 18:00. Tonight, we choose from a limited a-la-carte menu.

Day 3: After breakfast we checkout and depart by 09:00. This morning our first stop is Morpeth. Taken on a guided walk before entering the Morpeth Museum. Here we will explore the range of permanent exhibitions that tell the story of Morpeth in the 1860’s. Off to High Tea on the Hunter, a traditional high tea house, reflecting a high tea experience of the early days when fine bone China, embroided napery, silver spoons and crystal glasses were the norm. Rest up onboard with a full belly. A comfort stop at Buladelah and off to Barbushco. Experience the tastes of Barbushco ’s diverse range of organically grown indigenous foods, bush tucker, fruits, herbs, and spices including traditional flavours such as bush dukkha, lemon tree oil and a large selection of lemon myrtle.
