Event description

Experience the rich biodiversity of the RAMSAR-listed Hunter Estuary on this small group guided kayak tour.

Taking to the waters in single person kayaks, we will paddle through the tranquil Ironbark Creek and into the winding, mangrove-covered Astra Street Creek. While keeping an eye out for wetlands wildlife such as Egrets, Kingfishers and Osprey we will learn about the history and ecology of this unique environment and the conservation changes happening in the area. After refreshments in the rainforest we will continue the tour on foot through the rainforest and marshland.

This is an easy paddle suitable for all levels. Children 12+ can participate in a single person kayak if their adult guardian is also on the tour.
