Hunting Secrets of the Tropical Whale - screening
Description
An extraordinary wildlife documentary filmed right here on the Sapphire Coast.
Each year, seasonal ocean currents draw huge concentrations of baitfish into the waters off the coast, creating a spectacular feeding ground for Bryde’s whales, dolphins, fur seals and migrating humpback whales.
Filmmaker Drew Kelly captures this remarkable natural event through patient observation and stunning aerial cinematography, revealing rare whale behaviour and the intricate rhythms of a wild marine ecosystem.
Part wildlife spectacle, part meditation on our relationship with the natural world, Hunting Secrets of the Tropical Whale invites us to slow down, look closely and appreciate a remarkable marine environment that remains only partly understood.
