Huron + June Lopez at The Gatherings
Electronic Soundscapes under Mapped Video Projections
Johnny Lancia realizes blissed-out ambient works and concerts under the name Huron. His music is filled with heady drones and intriguing rhythms that reflect the natural world - filtered through a variety of modular synthesizers, analog electronics and digital manipulation processes. Lancia's synthesizers, a paradise of hidden synergies, conspire with the composer to realize a beautiful, untouchable sonic realm - as electrical currents spill out into the world with a charged dreamy glow.

June Lopez enjoys focusing on how cultural and musical influences shape sound. He is deeply invested in the textures and rhythms of Latin-Jazz-Afro-Roots, and in preserving the art of sonic design in live improvised performances.

This event will also to include the video artistry of Neil Cippon and Samara Talkin.
Generating projections of original, ever-evolving graphics onto the interior features of the St Mary's staging space, their visual output will align with the improvised live musical expressions conjured by the musicians.
