About the Artist:
Hydroponics make plant-inspired instrumental folk music that makes them smile when they play it, and makes you smile when you hear it. 

They’re returning to Pianodrome to celebrate the launch of their latest EP, Ruderal Species, which guides the audience through a sonic exploration of the process of healing, plus some old favourites (of theirs).

Ruderal Species: the first plant species to populate destroyed lands, and grow from rubble.

This show is part of Pianodrome's Make It Yourself Festival, championing excellent local talent in Edinburgh!

Make It Yourself is Pianodrome's brand new festival — a five day celebration of DIY culture, creativity and local community, running during October half term from 14th–18th October 2026 at Pianodrome Bruntsfield Community Hub.

Supported by the Edinburgh Council Local Events Fund, this hyper-local festival brings together makers, musicians, artists and community organisations for five days of workshops, live music, art exhibitions and open mic performances, all rooted in our core ethos of upcycling, innovation and working together.

Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. It has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if there is anything else you'd like to ask or tell us prior to your visit.

Concessions:

We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket. However, concessions prices are there to help anybody attend the show - if you need a lower cost ticket you are in the best position to determine that. No questions asked.

Accessibility:
