IAS x SS Stitching Sisterhood: Sew for Change
Event description
Stitching dignity, opportunity, and education into every pad
In Uganda, thousands of girls miss school each month simply because they don’t have access to menstrual products. This often leads to falling behind, dropping out, and missing out on a future they deserve.
Partnering with Second Stitch, Stitching Sisterhood – Uganda is a community-powered initiative responding to this issue with compassion and action.
Our goal? To sew 2,000 reusable menstrual pads to ship to Uganda and raise $10,000 to fund a women’s sewing school and provide a full year’s salary for seamstresses in Kasese, Uganda
Here's how you can help
🧵 Join us on October 3rd & 4th at Second Stitch in Coburg to sew pads (no experience needed, just heart!) - tickets just $10 each, but hurry limited spots are available.

Reusable pads are sustainable, eco-friendly, and life-changing. Every stitch helps keep girls in school, supports local women through employment, and reduces waste.
This isn’t just about pads, it’s about dignity, education, and opportunity.
