IB Economics Teachers’ Summit

The IB Economics Teachers’ Summit is an opportunity to deepen understanding of the latest developments in IB Economics assessment, take away practical strategies and ready-to-use resources, and exchange ideas with colleagues from across Singapore.
Hosted at Tanglin Trust School, the summit has a practical focus on the new Economics Extended Essay, Internal Assessment and external assessments.

• 08:45–10:15 – Session 1: The new Economics Extended Essay — subject-specific guidance, including discussion of the appropriate use of AI.

• 10:30–12:00 – Session 2: The new Economics Extended Essay — a focus on the new assessment criteria, including the new Interdisciplinary Extended Essay with Economics.

• 12:45–14:15 – Session 3: The Economics Internal Assessment (IA), with practical guidance on supporting students and strengthening their commentaries.

• 14:30–16:00 – Session 4: External assessments — top tips and best practices for Papers 1, 2 and 3, plus resource sharing.

Participants will also have opportunities to exchange good practice with fellow IB Economics teachers. All participants will receive an updated bumper pack of Economics resources for immediate use with their students.
