IBPSA Australasia - Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV): a design tool and workflow with Rebecca Yang

BIPV Enabler is a new user friendly design tool being developed at RMIT to model building integrated PV systems. Join us for an interactive session with the leader of the Solar Energy Application Lab, Rebecca Yang, to learn about the tool and provide feedback to the developers directly. 

Building integrated photovoltaics are solar power modules that are built into a structure in place of standard building materials. BIPV adoption has been slow in Australia due to the complexities in informing and educating a broad-based industry about product availability, standards and cost-effective solutions. In this workshop, we will introduce a user-friendly design tool ‘BIPV Enabler’ that integrates product, regulation, technical, economic and construction data to create a leading BIPV solution.
