ichigo ichie
Description
I C H I G O I C H I E
in Japanese culture, the proverb 'Ichigo Ichie' translates to 'one time, one meeting' and refers to the idea that every single moment or interaction is completely unique and can never be repeated fully. The phrase has it's roots in mindfulness, impermanence and presence, and these core principles form the foundational elements of our new guided morning ritual.
Join us on Saturday 19th September for a slow morning immersion. We will begin by dropping into our bodies with some delicious pranayama and a blended yoga flow of hatha vinyasa. We will then offer you a series of journaling prompts for personal reflection before inviting you to sit in tea ceremony facilitated by tea enthusiast Shana Hussein. Afterwards, you will be guided through a short creative writing exercise with local poet and teacher Cass Cormack using your journal prompts and any insights gathered during ceremony as inspiration to explore yourself deeply.
In the interest of keeping this event intimate and intentional, spaces are limited.
We recommend securing your spot as soon as possible to guarantee you don't miss out.

FAQs
- Do I need any yoga experience?
No! Our yoga flow will be accessible to all ages, bodies and levels, with modifications and options to suit everyone.
- Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend to bring your own journal + pen, yoga mat, and anything else that makes you feel warm and comfortable. We will be sitting on the floor during tea ceremony, so if you need a back cushion or specific support for your body, we recommend bringing that along. We will have cushions, blankets and yoga mats available too.
- What if I can't make it last minute?
We recommend offering your ticket to someone else or getting in touch with us to see if there is another date that you can transfer your ticket to.
- What is a tea ceremony?
A tea ceremony is an opportunity to share silence, evoke stillness and cultivate connection.
Through this ritual of tea, we create space for deep presence, connection to the natural elements, ourselves and with each other... a collective meditative experience.
Tea ceremonies allow intention and awareness to drop us deeper into ourselves, and witness how something rather ordinary can become extraordinary.
In a tea ceremony we invite you to drop into our breath and sensory body, and serve you bowls of hot ethically grown ancient tea in silence. Several round of tea will be served and the ceremony concludes with an opportunity to integrate in a way that suits you.
