Event description

In 2023, the Australian Music Centre (AMC) released a First Nations Cultural Policy for Represented Artists, with the aim to guide the acknowledgement and attribution of Indigenous cultural intellectual property (ICIP).

This October, we are coming to Perth (Boorloo) to share our knowledge about ICIP in Australian music in a series of information sessions designed for music creators and organisations.

Learn about what Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property (ICIP) is, and how artists can work with First Nations material appropriately and respectfully, as we outline the legislation and resources available to you.

You will extend your knowledge about working with and building inclusive frameworks for Indigenous cultural content, aligned with the ‘First Nations First’ pillar of the national cultural policy.

Session duration: approx. 1 hour.
