ICN Victoria and the Committee for Gippsland are proud to present this practical learning opportunity

Winning Government Business Workshop

Give your business the best opportunity to win work on major government infrastructure and construction projects.

This half-day interactive workshop will be delivered by Mia Consulting Services, who has been guiding organisations to forge successful business relationships with government since 2010. Mia truly ‘gets’ government, having a wealth of government experience at federal, state and local levels.

Featuring useful resources, templates and practical tips to follow, the workshop will help organisations to:

  • Understand the depth and breadth of government business opportunities.
  • Identify which pre-qualification registers you need to apply for.
  • Effectively engage with government buyers to market your business.
  • Effectively communicate your offering and value proposition and articulate why government should choose you.
  • Understand government procurement policies (social procurement, local content, building equality policy) and how to address them in your bids.
  • Understand government tendering and evaluation processes.
  • Use best-practice tendering techniques (including customer service and value-add offerings) to stand out and score highly.
  • Work with ICN systems and the ICN Gateway.
Who should attend
  • Sales and business development professionals, sales managers, account managers, solution architects, professional services personnel, marketing managers, delivery managers and others with public sector related roles.
  • Relevant for organisations of all sizes across all industry sectors.

Numbers are strictly limited, so register early. If you are unable to attend, please let us know so we can invite those on the waitlist.

Facilitator

The workshop will be delivered by Mia founder and principal Deirdre Diamante, whose vast knowledge of government business and procurement practices is derived from over 15 years’ involvement in federal, state and local government.

Deirdre provides strategic consulting services to companies seeking to establish and leverage government business relationships. Having a passion for industry development, Deirdre also works closely with government to implement industry and procurement programs. She has established several educational programs on government and tendering, with the aim of building in-house capability. Deirdre also serves on two not-for-profit boards and is a board advisory member to a digital services firm.
