Are you highschool aged and in the rainbow community*? ICONIC is for you!

ICONIC is a FREE pride youth dance party.
The event is FREE, but you'll need to book a ticket.

On Friday 28 March, 7-10pm, we'll have DJs & performances in the Black Box at Papa Hou.
Category is: Queer Icons - dress as your iconic queer self, or your favourite queer celebrity.

We invite you to come dance or just hang out with your pals. There will be snacks and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout, and a quiet space will be available for those who need it.

This event is co-hosted by Mana Tipua & InsideOUT Koaro, with tautoko from Christchurch Pride and The Kind Foundation.

Optional: Get ready together

For those who wish to get ready with friends, or cannot get ready at home, we invite you to get ready together at the venue between 5pm-7pm. Our friends at Papa Hou have opened up the dressing room facilities for this kaupapa - there will be space to do make up or get your outfit together. Please select a "Get Ready Together" ticket if you'd like to join this session as spaces are limited.

*Rainbow community means those who are LGBTQIA+ or questioning
This event is specifically for high school aged people who are unable to attend the 18+ party events during pride
Limited parking is available on site - we encourage you to carpool, take public transport with friends, or get dropped off where possible, to ensure those with access needs are able to park nearby
The event is on the first floor - there are elevators and accessible facilities
Gender neutral bathroom facilities will be available
A crew of invited rainbow adults will be supporting this event
Tickets will be checked at the door
This is a dry event - no drugs or alcohol - if you appear to be under the influence of substances you may be turned away
