Event description

Join us for Accelerating Inclusive Data: Tools to leave no one behind, a high-level event convened by the iCount Coalition to surface and showcase the latest inclusive, evidence-based tools and innovations that strengthen the collection, analysis, and use of inclusive data to support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with the goal of leaving no one behind. This event will bring together Member States, UN agencies, civil society, academia, and the private sector to catalyse further action towards closing persistent data gaps.

As the international community seeks to monitor progress on key SDG indicators, the availability of timely, gender-sensitive, disaggregated, and quality data remains a foundational challenge. This event will spotlight both proven and emergent tools, from surveys and questionnaires to platforms, frameworks and portals, that are transforming how intersectional inclusive data is produced and used in diverse contexts to help understand the full experiences of people’s lives.

Through an interactive panel, including live demonstrations, participants will engage with real-world applications of these tools and approaches. These will help identify and address barriers linked to gender, disability, Indigenous and/or minority community status, in areas ranging from health and education, to climate change and resilience. The event will also underscore the importance of partnerships, capacity strengthening, and ethical data practices to ensure no one is left behind.

This is a key opportunity for UN stakeholders and partners to explore innovative pathways to accelerate gender-responsive development, which goes beyond SDG5, and to reaffirm the central role of gender-sensitive inclusive data in advancing equity, accountability, and sustainable outcomes. Together, let us scale what works and invest in the future of inclusive, data-informed decision-making.
