    Event description

Have an idea for a podcast? With the support of the City of Sydney, Audiocraft are running a workshop series designed to strengthen your podcast idea, give you the skills you need to make it, and help you find your audience.

With 3 x 2 hour workshops, you could choose to brush up on one element of the podcast-making process, or go deep with six hours of professional podcast training.

We’re running the series twice in April and May 2021.

    > Online (Wednesday nights 6 PM - 8 PM, April 28, May 5, May 12)

    > In-person at the Idea Space at Darling Square, Sydney (Friday lunchtime, 11 AM - 1 PM, April 30, May 7, May 14)

We’re also running this workshop for free on Saturday May 15 for young people from a CALD background living, working, or studying in the City of Sydney. Spots are limited, apply here.

Each Idea to Audio Workshop is run by a member of the Audiocraft team:

Kate Montague – Founder / Managing Director

Kate has produced audio stories for the ABC, NPR, CBC, FBi Radio, and has executive produced audio projects with Audible, Spotify, AFTRS and more. When she’s not deep in a spreadsheet she likes crafting longform stories and capturing moments of honesty and surprise on tape.

    Selena Shannon – Senior Producer

Selena is a features producer who has made series for the ABC, Spotify, Audible, and FBi Radio. Her stories have explored everything from an amnesiac ghost-hunter in Western Sydney, to the struggles of hip hop in the Portland music scene. She currently produces Spotify’s award winning Original, Search Engine Sex. Selena teaches audio storytelling at schools and festivals, and she was previously the Youth Vice President of FBi Radio.

    Bernadette Nguyen – Producer

Bernadette is a creative working across audio and film. She produces the award winning Spotify podcast Search Engine Sex, has made documentaries for All The Best and the National Documentary Fiction Series, and is a host for FBi Radio’s Breakfast segment Book Me Up. She’s passionate about the craft of storytelling and sharing untold stories in the Australian landscape.
