About this Event

About the Panelists

Blaise Moskalev, Former Founder of Hear Us Roar, Innovation Strategist, Startup Advisor, Mentor, TRW Alumni

Blaise is a seasoned innovator with over a decade of experience across startups, not-for-profits, and corporate environments. Currently, she serves as a Strategic Partners Manager at Origin Energy, where she focuses on accelerating the renewable energy transition for large businesses through strategic collaboration and innovative product design. Previously, Blaise was an Innovation Strategist at Monitor Deloitte, helping organisations discover and pursue new growth opportunities.

In 2021, after kicking it off at Tech Ready Women’s Startup Program, Blaise sold her global fashion marketplace, Hear Us Roar, to an Australian competitor after five challenging years. She likened the experience to "flying blind into a storm," but ultimately, she emerged successful, landing with a smile. Blaise is eager to share insights from her journey, emphasising the importance of developing a startup with an exit strategy in mind from day one.

Now a Startup Mentor and board adviser, Blaise supports female founders, driven by her passion for strategic innovation and creating positive social and environmental impact.

Christie Whitehill, Founder of Tech Ready Women, Co-Founder of INTU Wellness, Mentor

Christie Whitehill, founder of Tech Ready Women, launched her award-winning education program to bridge the gender gap in tech entrepreneurship. With only 16% of startups globally founded or co-founded by women, Christie leveraged her 15 years of experience in building tech solutions to upskill female entrepreneurs. The program gained rapid industry recognition, winning the Accelerator of the Year 2017 and securing government funding. In 2024, Christie successfully sold Tech Ready Women to Scalare Partners, enhancing opportunities for female founders.

A recognised thought leader in tech and entrepreneurship, Christie has established successful partnerships across media, government, corporate, and education sectors. She has managed the development of over 20 tech products, including EY’s global R&D portal 'Ready' through her previous company, Hatching Lab. Christie also co-founded INTU WELLNESS, a fast-growing health and beauty supplements brand, securing seed funding and an exclusive contract with Mecca.

As well as being an entrepreneur, Christie is a mum to two children Zac 6, and Ava 3, so she understands the juggle of both managing a startup and parenthood.

Edwina Sharrock, Former Founder of Birth Beat, Advisor

Edwina Sharrock is a health advocate who leveraged technology to build a successful digital health platform. With a focus on innovation and growth, she serves as a non-executive director, offering her expertise to dynamic companies.

In 2023, Edwina sold her ed-tech startup, Birth Beat, to Device Technologies. Founded in 2016 in Tamworth, NSW, Birth Beat provides digital childbirth education and baby first aid courses, helping over 5,000 parents. The idea for Birth Beat came after the local private hospital closed, and Edwina, a registered nurse and midwife, began teaching from home before moving online. She won multiple awards, including the Commonwealth Bank Innovation Award and secured partnerships with health funds.

Recognised also as a Google Regional Online Hero, and winner of the NSW Telstra Small Business Award, Edwina continues to support other businesses, particularly women-led ventures.

Rhian Allen, Former Founder of The Healthy Mummy, E-Commerce Expert, Best Selling Author

Rhian Allen is a dynamic entrepreneur with a proven track record of launching and leading successful businesses. In 2010, she founded The Healthy Mummy, growing it to a $24 million turnover and $4.5 million EBITDA without any debt. After selling half the business to Private Equity in 2017, Rhian fully exited by selling the remaining share to a trade buyer in early 2022. Rhian’s approach to business is driven by passion and customer service, ensuring the business thrives even after her exit.

Following her success with The Healthy Mummy, she launched Healthy Active Pet, focusing on pet health and nutrition. Rhian is also a business consultant and advisor, leveraging her expertise in digital marketing, e-commerce, and strategic planning to help other businesses grow. Additionally, Rhian is a best-selling author and a prominent figure in the media, recognised as a leading woman in business.
