“Idea to image or image to idea?” Being led by curiosity. Women in Photography + The Handmade Darkroom Meet Up
To be announced
Event description
Presented by Women in Photography and The Handmade Darkroom
Inspired by the insightful conversations around artistic practice and the creative process we've been exploring our May meet up will be facilitated by Virginia Woods-Jack of Women in Photography. We will be looking at questions raised in PhotoWork: Forty Photographers on Process and Practice like "What comes first—the photographs or a concept?" and looking at curiosity over passion as a driving force.
Whether you're grappling with your next project, exploring new ideas, or simply curious about the magic behind creative work this is a chance to:
- Share your work and process: Inspired by the "Show work and outline the process you took to get there" prompt.
- Discuss your creative journey: Reflecting on the diverse paths highlighted by the photographers interviewed in PhotoWork.
- Explore the interplay of concept and execution: Diving into the "Idea to image or image to idea?" question.
- Connect with a community of like-minded individuals: Fostering a space for inspiration and learning.
