The Ideathon is a two day event being run by EWB Monash in collaboration with National Office as well as industry representatives. It is held during Monash mid semester break weekend and will be easily accessible over zoom, which will be released closer to the date.

There will be a variety of workshops jam packed throughout the day, as well as the ability to interface with mentors and learn highly valued professional skills such as pitching, proposal development and resiliency under deadlines. Furthermore we will be providing the opportunity to expand on your idea post competition, as well as gain valuable CPD hours for your degree.

The Ideathon is centred around engineering an appropriate solution to a design proposal addressing humanitarian and developmental issues.

This year the case study is constructed around the WHO sustainable design goal of health and well being –Engineering better healthcare in Cambodia. There will be a focus on all facets of the current healthcare system, including disease prevention, healthcare access and risk communication. This year’s Ideathon is the perfect opportunity for students interested in the current COVID-19 crisis to learn how diseases affect developing countries, as well as work towards actual projects that directly enhance the life of people around the world.

We will be providing all the resources needed to tackle the case studies on the day and workshops to help understand and empathise with local communities. Bring your friends and sign up as a group of 3-5, or sign up as an individual and join a group of highly capable team mates!
