The Aged Care Sector is experiencing a period of significant trauma, grief and loss. 

This webinar will explore trauma within the aged care sector, including how it may affect residents, families, staff and management, and how it can impact delivery of care. 


Join a panel of trauma experts from Phoenix Australia as they discuss:

Speaker bios

Nicole Sadler is a Clinical Psychologist with an in-depth understanding of issues and challenges for individuals working in high risk organisations. She has worked on mental health strategic reviews, policy and training development projects and research projects for police, emergency services and other government agencies at Commonwealth and State levels.

Jane Nursey is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with almost 30 years’ experience in the field of posttraumatic mental health, including as a clinician and manager/director of programs and services in the public hospital acute and mental health sectors, across the lifespan. She has also worked in the alcohol and drug, traumatic brain injury, aged care and developmental disability sectors.

Anne-Laure Couineau is a psychologist and leads Phoenix Australia’s work to promote best practice and service improvement for organisations
that support people exposed to trauma, as well as leading the promotion of
workforce wellbeing in organisations whose employees are exposed to trauma.
She has extensive experience in the field of complex trauma and interpersonal violence.

Dr Richard Bonwick is a Psychiatrist who specialises in old age psychiatry, and treating ageing war veterans. He has spoken and written nationally and internationally on a variety of topics in old age psychiatry. He is an expert clinical advisor to Phoenix Australia and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
