Description

It can be hard to tell the natives from the weeds when it comes to grasses. Come 'get in the weeds' with local experts and learn the 'friends from the foe' that live in your patch.

Event details:

Join South East Local Land Services for a workshop to help land managers identify native and invasive grasses, learn about control techniques and develop strategies to manage healthy grassy woodlands and pastures. Led by Paul Martin, Invasive Species Officer from Eurobodalla Shire Council, Jackie Miles, local Botanist, and LLS staff.

The event will focus on:

  • Enabling landholders to determine which invasive weeds pose the greatest threat to productivity and the environment in the Eurobodalla.

  • Identifying African Love Grass, Serrated Tussock and Giant Rat’s Tail Grass.

  • Emerging invasive grasses in the Eurobodalla.

  • Practical management techniques and strategies for invasive grasses.

Additional notes:

  • Lunch will be provided.

  • Registrations are limited to 20 to enable the best learning experience for participants.

  • Event registrations close on 19 October 2026, so get your tickets.
