Our skills in Arboriculture, Lecturing and Communication and the ability to diversify courses to meet the changing needs of community, environment and climate will support your workplace or career needs. Knowledge and teachable skills are the corner stone to developing programs of best practice to manage our natural resource. Through the availability of quality training and certification within the district, these skills will create long term employment in not only land management but also urban forestry. It will open up avenues for self-employment in Arboriculture and Horticulture serving the residential local community maintaining their garden spaces.
It takes the community as a whole to care for a forest as large as ours. The benefits of well-maintained bushland will be felt for generations, not only financially through the direct employment of those managing the land and indirect by those who base businesses from the use of the forest (tourism etc). But through the care of the environment and the improvements that will be reaped by our children and grand-children.
