Description

Dear Inner Development friends,

We welcome you join our next virtual monthly meet-up and practice session for our Australia Hub on Tuesday, November 7th, at 7pm - 8:15pm AEDT.

In November’s session, we will explore the IDG dimension of Thinking, which encompasses Perspective Skills and Sense-making. Contrary to thinking our way through challenges predominantly using our cognition, we will work with embodied practices to take different perspectives and to help us make sense of our worlds. Hosted by Vivien Sung and Cherry Ward.

We will focus on:
Perspective Skills
• Skills in seeking, understanding and actively making use of insights from contrasting perspectives.

Sense-making
• Skills in seeing patterns, structuring the unknown and being able to consciously create stories.
• Making a link between our embodied and cognitive skills in seeing different perspectives, evaluating information and making sense of the world as an interconnected whole, essential for wise decision-making.

Logistics and preparation for the session
During this session we will be using objects that are readily available to you around the room or house that are small enough to share on screen. Please have a working camera to enable sharing with the group.

How to join

  • The zoom link will be provided on registration.
  • You'll also receive reminders prior to the event. (Please check your junk folder if you have not received the link by 4pm).

IDG monthly practice sessions

The Australia IDG Hub hosts group meet-ups / practice sessions on the first Tuesday of each month. Each session is 75 minutes, and provides a space for community to develop your own 'inner' practice, and applications for the 5 IDGs: Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating and Acting in your work. You'll also have the opportunity to network with peers working across sectors. Learn more about the IDGs
