The IEPCP invites you to join us on 9th December as we explore the health impacts of climate change, with a particular focus on the mental health of young people.

At the Forum you will hear from:

Dr Rebecca Patrick from Climate and Health Alliance will set the scene with an overview of the effects of climate change on health, focusing on youth mental health.

Ella-Mae Watkins - ‘The Links Between Young People’s Mental Health and Social Media use in a Climate Impacted Australia’

Tassia Oswald – Screen Time and Green Time: Impacts on wellbeing

Dr Eleanor Glenn from Common Cause will run an interactive session on the existing ways of framing climate change and climate action. We’ll cover tips to best reach our audiences and avoid the harm caused by fear-based messages.

Rataj Abdullah from School Strike for Climate Australia will present on the impacts of the campaign and their personal experience of activism for climate action.

We will also learn how we can help elected representatives generate positive action on climate change within their spheres of influence.
