Event description

Shifting the Lens - Helping Our Children Thrive Through Challenge
Presented by Katrina Gurciullo from Being Human

How do we raise resilient, confident young people in a world full of uncertainty, pressure and change?

This parent seminar is designed to equip you with practical tools to support your child’s wellbeing, mindset, and personal growth.

In this one hour session, we’ll explore how small shifts in perspective, language and self awareness can make a big difference in how our young people respond to life’s inevitable ups and downs. Through storytelling, relatable examples, and practical strategies, parents will walk away with new ways to model resilience, foster emotional intelligence, and encourage growth - even in the face of challenge.

At this Parent Seminar you will:

• Explore the power of mindset, gratitude, and self-talk

• Learn practical strategies to build your daughter’s confidence and adaptability

• Discover how your own habits and language contribute in shaping your child’s inner voice

• Connect with other parents navigating similar challenges

This session is for anyone wanting to support their child/ren not just to survive, but to thrive through uncertainty and challenge.

There will be time at the end of the session for questions, alternatively, should you wish to submit a confidential question prior to the Parent Seminar, please do so via counselling.services@ivanhoegirls.vic.edu.au
