Ignite exists to create partnerships between talented students and socially conscious organisations at Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Otago to help maximise organisational impact. Ignite aims to train leaders, provide innovative solutions and channel resources for a better world. For free.

Ignite was started at Otago University in 2010 by a Polish exchange student who recognised there was a disconnect between the thriving Non-For-Profit sector in Dunedin and the students who were eager to give back to the community. To bridge this gap, Ignite was born and began offering of free consulting services to community organisations. Since then, Ignite has partnered with over 100 organisations and contributed over 100,000 hours of volunteer service.
