Igniting Innovation 2024: Robot Supremacy

As part of Youth Week 2024, the Igniting Innovation: Robot Supremacy event is set to highlight the collective spirit and innovative talents of Marlborough's youth. Aligning with the theme "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all" (Māwherangi a tama roto ka taka, kāpuia ake ka pūrangiaho), this event embodies the essence of collaboration, creativity, and community in the realm of technology and robotics. By inviting young participants to engage in combat robotics, we celebrate their contributions to a shared future of innovation and technology.

The event kicks off with a robot-building workshop. Here, attendees will receive hands-on guidance to assemble and program their robots—no prior experience necessary; if you can play Xbox, you can build a robot! After building your robot, take a break for kai and prepare for the highlight of the day: the combat robotics tournament in our safe, enclosed arena.

Ticket Options:

• Under 16 Session: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm NZST, $20.00 per ticket
• 16 and Over Session: 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm NZST, $20.00 per ticket
• Team Packages: Teams of 4 (Under 16 or 16+) at $70.00, covering entry for four individuals
