    Event description

Within each and every one of us there is a sacredness calling of lirrtjinguru butdhurruna nilng nilng - the spark that spreads the sacred fire.

Sitting deep in the depths of Self, this little spark has the potential to ignite a fire that flickers with a burning desire for life, passion, and purpose. This fire is what keeps us warm and comfortable in our very own being, it is what provides light so we can see the direction we need to take and it’s our warmth we can extend to those around us.

Join us for a soul nourishing evening in conversation with Elder Djapirri Mununggirritj. We will journey together into ancient heart wisdom as we tend to the fire of Self and embrace each other as new friends as we sit in circle and ceremony together.

Through discovering and understanding what the wonderful metaphor of the gurtha (fire) can teach us, we will collectively sit at the sacred hearth of the heart and listen to ancient wisdom and stories untold.

Through this empowering and inspiring conversation we will together ignite the fire in each of us.

    Come join us.

    When: Monday 15 May @ 6.30pm (Darwin time)/ 7pm Qld/Syd time

    A little about Djapirri Mununggirritj

Djapirri is a senior knowledge holder and elder of the Gumatj clan from Yirrkala in North East Arnhem Land. For decades, she has worked tirelessly to support her community and was awarded Northern Territory Local Hero Award in 2011 for her efforts. A little about Soulful Soundwaves

Soulful Soundwaves was founded by Maeve and Lorenzo Colombo back in 2016. With a clear vision to help others on their path to wellness, Maeve and Lorenzo have travelled all over Australia and overseas healing hearts and minds with simple and effective strategies that work. Many people have felt the healing potency Maeve and Lorenzo bring - one of truth, love and compassion. Maeve & Lorenzo currently reside on Yolŋu country, have been adopted into Gurruṯu (the Yolŋu kinship system) and have a burning desire to provide a platform for their Yolngu family to share their wisdom with the rest of the world. In collaboration with Djapirri, they now offer an opportunity to explore the ancient path to wellness (both in person and online) called Däwala.
