Newcastle based transdisciplinary studio Art Thinking invites you to a special event as part of New Annual Festival 2024 and as the nightline feature event for our brand new work Intra Human x Inter Digital (IHxID).
IHxID explores the relationship between society and media, addressing themes of digital identity, information overload, deep fake, AI, authorship, data security and privacy. The purpose of this new exhibit is to build awareness and healthy conversation around the role technology plays in our daily life as we become more and more immersed into a digital existence.
The event will kickoff with an insightful panel discussion that centers on current and future perspectives of identity and the role that technology has on impacting our sense of self. Featuring a local politician, a self confessed social media junkie, a 14 year old philosophy medal winner, an academic researcher and a cyber security expert that was based in Asia for 20 + years. This is an opportunity to experience a balanced view on a highly relevant topic of the digital zeitgeist.
The evening will also feature a special artist talk, transdisciplinary themed cocktails and mocktails as well as the futuristic sounds of local DJ Mistah Dux.
This is a free and inclusive event. All ages welcome.
