Ikigai presents Raphael Carrau (ES) at Solace

Speak the name Carrau and the music will follow. 

To wrap up the season, Ikigai is excited to present Cartulis resident Raphael Carrau for the second time, after almost a year to the day.

A dedicated deejay, Rapha is very much a part of dance floor culture, whether it's in front or behind the booth – a characteristic that is no doubt the inspiration behind his label Dancefloor Rituals. All we can say is with Rapha, expect to connect. His catalogue of music has depth and breadth, leading to many intimate moments shared only between dancer and DJ. 

Rapha has played notable sets at both Waking Life and Dimensions, a testament to his ability to draw lines with dancers in vastly different environments, a skill that has only become a habit as the years progress. Since his last visit to Australia, he's doubled down on the music, now curating the productions of his friends through his label DFR – an output that mirrors his deep respect for primal moments in the club.

His vision for what can be facilitated through music is nothing short of spiritual, leading him to gather a passionate following of those who know.

Rounding it out, is support from local legend Ed Kent on the upstairs warm up, with Kithers & Krit to follow with 3 hours before Carrau. Downstairs we're looked after with 2 hours from Miscmeg and another 2 from Séarlait, who'll be each be playing for their first time at Ikigai. Closing it out downstairs are our long time mates Amphi, the hosts of Audio Forage on A3K Radio and wicked deejays in their own right.
