Illawarra Edible Garden Trail

Event description

The Illawarra Edible Garden Trail is back for the second year running! The Trail will take place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of November between 10am-3pm in partnership with Food Fairness Illawarra with thanks to sponsors Gilly’s Kitchen Garden.

WHAT?

The Trail is the weekend to visit a variety of edible gardens across the Illawarra from private sunny backyards to balconies and verges, community and school gardens and everything in between. On the Trail expect to visit individual edible gardens in flux. Some gardens will be at the beginning of the journey and others well established. Expect the whole spectrum that reflects the reality of gardening with seasonal changes, the unpredictability of mother nature and the general chaos that life throws in the mix.

This is a weekend to connect with your neighbours, troubleshoot challenges, get ideas for your space and build a community around you to put more backyard fruit and veg on your dinner plate.

WHERE:

Tickets will give you access to a collection of edible gardens from Helensburgh to Windang and Dapto. Note: some gardens are open both days, whilst others will be open Saturday OR Sunday.

TICKETS:

Tickets can only be purchased for both days, not individual days. If you would like to visit only one garden you can purchase an individual garden ticket for $5. Tickets will give you access to all gardens. Funds raised from tickets sales cover the costs of delivering the event. Garden addresses and a map will be emailed to ticket holders one week prior to the event. Please purchase your tickets via Humanitix. Tickets may require collection prior to attendance, we will confirm closer to the date.
