Event description

HUMBUG is the wonderful, well known Celtic band performing in the Australian Folk music scene.

Over the years it has featured in many of Australia's folk festivals including the National, Illawarra, Turning Wave, Yackendandah, Beechworth, Majors Creek, St Albans and Berry festivals.

It has 5 well received CDs to its credit and is about to start work on a new one.

After a number of personnel changes over the years it now is a quartet comprising Rachel Antone (vocals and percussion), Simone Dawson (vocals, flute and whistles) , Dave O'Neill (vocals, fiddle, mandolin and bouzouki) and Mal Bennett( vocals and guitar).

Specialising in 3 and 4 part harmonies with exquisite instrumental accompaniment, the band's repertoire covers a broad selection of Irish and Scottish ballads and 'foot tappers' - including well known songs and lesser known musical gems.

With the recently welcomed addition of well known, highly accomplished Australian folk music identity Dave O'Neill and the inclusion of new and intriguing musical delights, the band is entering an exciting new phase of its musical journey.
