Event description

Welcome to the SoulAdvisor Illuminate series.

We have created this monthly series as a way to explore the overarching principles that guide our wellness practice.

This month's theme is Strength.

We are delighted for July, to be co-hosting with Yoga Australia.

Join us as we explore strength in these times of change. We look at strength through the prism of a yogi and as a fundamental pillar of wellness. Yoga is more than the physical poses, it is a way of life - both off and on mat.

This month's panel will draw on the individual thoughts of our yogis as they share their wisdom on Strength and working with change.

Our panel consists of:

Janet Rodger, CEO, Yoga Australia, has a history working in the not for profit sector and a strong interest in mindfulness and yoga as tools for our current state of un-ease.

Josh Pryor, Vice-President, Yoga Australia is owner director of two studios in the Hunter region NSW. His fascination bringing the metaphysical nature of yoga and its deep lessons into a pragmatic teaching for all his students saw him authoring The Spirit of the Matter in 2021.

Eve White Yaan Circle Representative, Yoga Australia Reconciliation Group works alongside the team to actualise the Yoga Australia Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and as a Wiradjuri woman living on Bundjalung lands, can speak to the nature of strength required to be a First Nations community member in this country.

Valerie Fimat-Faneco WA Community Representative, Yoga Australia practices and teaches in the Krishnamacharya  and Desikachar lineages. Her passion is the Vedic teachings and she has translated her mentor's book, Liberating Isolation: the Yoga-Sutra of Patañjali

Join us at 3pm and be part of this important panel discussion. Listen, reflect, share your views and let's build on our collective knowledge.

We encourage you to connect with our online Yoga practitioners on SoulAdvisor, and find out more about Yoga and the rise of online Yoga.
