Illuminate The Coast - Workshop

What:

Illuminate The Coast, will be a captivating series of events across that West and North West regions where iconic buildings including the Penguin Church and Table Cape Light House come alive with large-scale projections and immersive soundscapes. We’re inviting community groups to help shape this evolving art project through your creative vision and local storytelling.

Through the workshops we hope to gather stories, images, audio recordings and other artefacts that will be integrated into the final art piece, helping represent local perspectives and connect the work to place.

How:

The workshop will be casual and accessible for all abilities and levels of experience. There are a number of ways you could contribute including:

• Visual Art and sculpture: Drawings, paintings, clay etc.
• Written Works: Stories, poems, or personal reflections.
• Audio: Voice recordings, music, or soundscape elements.

You are also encouraged to bring existing images, text or other relevant items that tell a story related to your place, that could be scanned (3D) or photographed and integrated into the project. We will provide snacks and drinks for all to enjoy.
