IMBALANCE | 2026 Object Design Exhibition
Description
The University of Tasmania School of Creative and Performing Arts invites you to a state-wide Object Design (UCP) exhibition.
Object Design is a university pathway unit that introduces students to design concepts across a wide range of disciplines and media. School teachers and mentors from The University of Tasmania work together to assist students with the development of a theme-based design project.
Students’ creative works responding to the theme of IMBALANCE are on display in venues across the state.
BURNIE – UTAS Cradle Coast campus, Field building
Opening night: 23 September
LAUNCESTON – UTAS Inveresk campus, The Workshop building.
Opening night: 24 September
HOBART – UTAS Hunter Street campus, Centre for the Arts.
Opening night: 25 September
Exhibitions dates: 24 Sep – 1 Oct 2026
Opening hours: 10am-4pm weekdays (+ weekends Hobart only)
The University Connections Program (UCP) provides Year 11 & 12 students a unique opportunity to undertake university introductory level units. The Program is offered in partnership with the University of Tasmania, Tasmanian Schools and the Office of Tasmanian Assessment Standards and Certification (TASC).
