Travel instructions

Te Pae is located on the corner of Armagh Street and Oxford Terrace, and also opens onto Cathedral Square in the heart of Christchurch. The address is 188 Oxford Terrace. The closest bus stops to Te Pae are at the Bus Interchange and the Manchester Street super stop. From the airport: Bus routes P and 29 travel to and from the airport, passing through the inner-city Bus Interchange (a ten minute walk to Te Pae). Bus routes Blue (1, 44, 29), Orange (7, 28), Yellow (5), 7, 86, 87, 91, 92, 95 all stop at the Manchester Street Super Stop (a seven minute walk). You can plan your journey on public transport @ www.metroinfo.co.nz There are taxi, shuttle and Uber options outside the airport terminal also. Te Pae Christchurch has three set down points located within 30 metres of the relevant closest entrance. These are large enough to accommodate buses, vans, and taxis: (1) Armagh Street adjacent to the Armagh Street Entrance; (2) Colombo Street adjacent to the Cathedral Square Entrance; and (3) Oxford Terrace adjacent to the main entrance to the Centre.

Entry instructions

Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre is committed to providing safe, equitable and inclusive access for all visitors. All entries and publicly accessible areas of the Centre are seamlessly connected, accessible and step-free. The three public entrances are wheelchair accessible via low gradient ramps and automatic doors; there are found at Cathedral Square, Oxford Terrace and Armagh Street. Before your visit, Te Pae encourage guests to explore their virtual tour (@ www.tepae.co.nz/360-interactive-tour) to become familiar with the venue and its amenities. The tour allows you to navigate spaces online, helping you plan your journey and understand the layout of the Centre before arriving.

Accessible gender-neutral restrooms are located throughout the Centre, adjacent to the halls and meeting rooms.

Accessible parking

There are a few mobility carparks on Colombo Street, with additional mobility carparks located in close proximity of Te Pae. For information on mobility carparks please visit: www.ccc.govt.nz/transport/parking/mobility-and-disabled-parking Additionally there are more than 2,000 car parks in close vicinity of Te Pae Christchurch. The Centre itself does not have onsite parking; however a list of nearby parking facilities can be found in their Venue Guide (www.tepae.co.nz/assets/documents/Venue-Guide.pdf), under section 6.6 Carparking. Electric vehicle charging bays are available at the Lichfield Street Carpark, located at 33 Lichfield Street, Christchurch Central.
