    Event description

    This short introduction to the art of batik – the wax-resist process and cultural form beloved across the Malay world, and especially Java, Indonesia – will give participants an insight into the cultural significance, motifs and practical creation of batik cap, or “stamp batik”. 

    Participants will create (and keep!) their own batik scarf, made using everyday materials. 

    Morning Session: 9:30am–12:30pm
    Afternoon Session 1:30pm–4:30pm

    Workshops spots are limited, so please sign up for one of the sessions only and as soon as you can to secure a place.
