  • How impact investments can be made across various asset classes, including listed equities, impact bonds, real assets and alternative investments.
  • Understand the strategies for constructing a diversified impact portfolio across asset classes.

If you’re considering how to shift from a small “allocation” to impact investing to a whole of portfolio approach, then this is an excellent session for you!

PANEL

  • Claudia Kwon, North Star Impact:

    Claudia has over 15 years’ experience working in equities. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in equity sales before joining Morphic Asset Management (Global ESG Hedge Fund) as a senior investment analyst. She joined North Star four years ago to pioneer impact investing in listed equities.

    Claudia is currently on the investment committee of the Sydney University Impact Investing Society. She has a Bachelor of Business (Finance & Accounting) and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (Mandarin) from UTS. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and completed the PRI Advanced Responsible Investing program.

  • Neeraj Aggarwal, Australian Impact Investments:
    Neeraj joined Aii in 2022, bringing a decade of international experience in the impact investment sector. He spearheaded the impact investing platform of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in the United States and led the Rebuild Texas Fund, providing vital disaster relief post-Hurricane Harvey. Neeraj transitioned to impact investment after a five-year tenure in investment banking and is responsible for client engagement and business development at Aii. Neeraj holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney.

  • Siobhan Henderson, Australian Unity:

    Currently Australian Unity's Head of Social Impact & Strategy Manager, Siobhan joined the company in 2013 with various roles across Wealth, Banking and Group Operations. 

    As part of the Group Strategy Team, Siobhan leads the continued development of Australian Unity's wellbeing outcomes measurement framework (known as the Community & Social Value Framework). Launched in 2021 and in partnership with Social Ventures Australia, the framework applies a financial value to the social impact created by the company and is used by Australian Unity not only to report its social impact, but to shape strategic and investment decisions. In 2023 Siobhan used her framework and reporting to secure one of the first Wellbeing focused Sustainability-Linked Loans with Westpac Institutional Bank, a significant milestone that demonstrates their commitment to increasing and becoming more efficient in their efforts to direct resources to the areas of most societal need.

    Siobhan's background includes study in journalism, political science and policy, and lately she takes a particular interest in aligning organisational strategy with meaningful positive ESG impact.
