Impact100 Sydney 2024 Grant Pitch Night
Event description
Join us on Thursday, 14 November for Impact100 Sydney's most significant event of the year. This evening presents a unique opportunity to hear from our four carefully selected finalists, each dedicated to addressing employment pathways for vulnerable communities in Greater Sydney. Your participation will help determine where our $100,000 grant can have the greatest impact.
The calibre of applications this year has been exceptional, reflecting the pressing needs and innovative solutions in our community. Our four outstanding finalists will pitch for our $100,000 grant are:
- Bandu Organisation: Supporting First Nations Australians in tertiary education completion and employment.
- The Social Outfit: Providing employment and training for refugee women in the fashion industry.
- Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Australia: Proposing a Digital Literacy and Inclusion program for refugees and migrants.
- Horn of Africa Relief and Development Agency (HARDA): Offering a mobile jobs and mentoring program for migrants and refugees.
Thanks to our partnership with Community Bank Darling Square, who are matching donations dollar for dollar up to $50,000, our grant pool is expanding rapidly. While we will be awarding one $100,000 grant, we're excited that there will be a pool to share amongst our runners-up, extending our impact across multiple worthy causes.
Hosted by Macquarie University Business School and beverages supplied by Pontoon Bar, the evening will offer:
- Engaging pitches on innovative approaches to community challenges
- Networking opportunities with fellow donors
- Warm hospitality
We recognise that for many of our donors, this decision involves family input, and as such we encourage you to bring your family to participate in this important process. Additionally, if you wish to introduce colleagues or friends to Impact100 Sydney, they are welcome to attend too!
Last year's event reached capacity quickly. We strongly advise early registration to ensure your participation in this pivotal decision-making process that will shape opportunities for vulnerable groups in our community.
Join us in demonstrating the power of collective giving to create substantial, lasting change. Your presence and vote are crucial in shaping the future of philanthropy in Sydney and supporting innovative solutions to challenges faced by vulnerable groups.
