Join our free Humanities and Social Sciences 7-10 workshop to support the implementation of the new Western Australian Curriculum in 2026 and help you save time, drive engagement, and support diverse learning needs.
Hosted by our expert team of teachers and authors, along with Oxford’s local Education Consultants, this workshop will include:
- an overview of key changes to the content and assessment of the new curriculum – what’s in, what’s out, what’s moved, including the new History units in Year 7 (Deep Time) and Year 9 (Australian History 1750–1914).
- practical tips, advice, and a selection of ready-to-use resources that will help you plan and deliver lessons with ease
- a sneak peek at our brand-new HASS 7–10 resources coming for 2026, which are carefully aligned to the new curriculum, offer comprehensive subject coverage and teach skills in context with knowledge, using a scaffolded approach to build student confidence
- a demonstration of the new features and functionality on the all-new Oxford Digital, including comprehensive support such as expertly crafted lesson plans, market-leading assessment, tracking, and reporting tools and our new live-lesson mode, allowing real-time, accessible digital lesson delivery with students

Meet the presenters
Annabel Elliot
Annabel Elliot is passionate about both History and teacher education. She has taught across Australia in 7-10 Humanities, ATAR Ancient & Modern History and onInitial Teacher Education courses at university. Annabel is in the early stages of a PhD in History Education, is an author for history textbooks in QLD, NSW & WA, presents at State and National Conferences and is a member of the SCSA Ancient History 11-12 Curriculum Advisory Committee and HTAWA Committee. Currently working as a 7-10 HaSS & ATAR Modern History teacher, Annabel is also employed as a Sessional Academic and Professional Practice Supervisor in the School of Education at Curtin University.
Padminee Raja-Snidjer
Padminee Raja-Snijder is a highly accomplished Humanities and Social Sciences teacher with over 16 years of experience teaching Economics and Business Management at both the ATAR and International Baccalaureate Diploma levels. Currently at Presbyterian Ladies’ College Perth, she has served as a Chief examiner and marker for the International Baccalaureate and the School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia. Padminee currently chairs the Course Advisory Committee for Economics in WA. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Education, and a Master of Business Administration. Padminee's love for Economics and Business enriches her teaching, emphasising real-world applications and catering to varied learning needs. Known for her mentorship and innovative methods, she builds strong relationships with students and staff, supporting their academic and personal growth.
