Implementing the new Victorian Science 7-10 Curriculum with Oxford

Join our free Science 7–10 workshop to support the implementation of the new Victorian Curriculum 2.0 in 2026 and help you prepare students for success in senior years by building science inquiry skills.
Hosted by expert teacher and author Helen Silvester and Oxford’s local Education Consultants, this workshop will include:
- an overview of key changes to the content and assessment of the new curriculum – what’s in, what’s out, what’s moved
- practical tips, advice, and a selection of ready-to-use resources that will help you save time and implement the new curriculum with confidence
- a sneak peek at our brand-new Science 7–10 resources coming for 2026, which are fully updated to align to curriculum objectives and incorporate key learning design principles, with an explicit focus on the acquisition of science skills
- a demonstration of the new features and functionality on the all-new Oxford Digital, including comprehensive support such as expertly crafted lesson plans, TLAPs, market-leading assessment, tracking, and reporting tools and our new live-lesson mode, allowing real-time, accessible digital lesson delivery with students

Meet the presenter
Helen Silvester
Learning Area Manager (Science), Australian Academy of Science & author of Oxford Science 7–10 Victorian Curriculum
Helen Silvester is a neuroscientist by training and a passionate science teacher by profession. She enjoys all forms of science communication from teaching to presenting, from designing curriculum to writing textbooks. She has over twenty years’ experience in education, having taught science to all age groups, from 3-year-olds to 18-year-olds. She draws on her extensive experience and current research to create innovative curriculum resources for both students and educators.
