    Event description

Importance of Self Care & Setting Healthy Boundaries

Armadale Volunteer Services would like to invite volunteers who live or volunteer in the City of Armadale to a free workshop which looks at the difference between healthy and unhealthy boundaries, good boundary setting, stressors that might be contributing to our understanding of the importance of Self Care and how that can impact our work as volunteers and other areas of our lives.

In order to experience satisfying connections with other people – whether familial, work colleagues or love relationships – we need to set healthy boundaries and recognise the importance of self-care.

By the end of the session, participants will have been encouraged to:

    • explore what constitutes boundaries and learned the difference between healthy and unhealthy boundaries,
    • look at levels of personal boundaries and explored elements that contributed to them,
    • verbalise how to enact better self-care and the 5 domains of self care,
    • explore how our brain impacts our understanding of self-care, boundaries and mindfulness,

and learnt skills to help in setting healthy boundaries.

    Morning Tea will be provided.
