Impro Movement/Theatre Class 264 at Dancehouse Wednesdays

A eight week series of classes designed to extend your movement and theatrical vocabulary, increase your performing confidence and help you discover that Impro Movement/Theatre is a legitimate performance genre.

This class occurs on Wednesdays from 6-9pm usually at Dancehouse in Carlton, but also sometimes at Studio WXYZ in Nth Melbourne.

Last term, we began integrating spoken text with movement improvisation. Our exploration encompassed gibberish, fast-paced talking duets, "Yes, and..." partner work, and solos driven by imaginary text. This term, we will expand on these foundational vocal exercises by delving into the mechanics of "conversation" through the second-person perspective, drawing inspiration from Keith Johnstone's seminal book, Impro.
