ImproLab – Connect to your creative self and others through the performing arts

ImproLab is a collective of artists based on the Mid North Coast NSW, exploring various performing arts and the process of improvising together. Through weekly practice and public performances, this ensemble of musicians, dancers and actors, share in a vital experience that, they believe and evidence supports, fosters an extraordinary connection to their sense of self, each other and community. “The bond and connection with each other in the group is valuable to me. I feel like wehave built a very trusting and safe place to express and practice.” Says ImproLab member,m Luke Rhodes. Audiences who have witnessed ImproLab also vouch for the rousing experience, “I felt so inspired, I just wanted to jump up and join in!” As part of Taranta Festival, ImproLab will be sharing their deeply energising and grounding creative practice. The session will include a warmup of movement, sounding and playful improvisation exercises that promises to joyfully connect the group through creative expression. Adults of all levels are welcome. Wear comfortable clothes for moving in, bring musical instruments for playing with and imaginations to flow and create from.
