Event description

Turn this summer into a comedy classic! In this week-long half-day camp, kids will ditch the scripts and unleash their inner goofball.

Campers will learn to think fast, act sillier, and create scenes that'll have you rolling on the floor (metaphorically, of course). In improv, teamwork makes the dream work; camps join a band of fellow giggle-gurus who build each other up and support even the craziest ideas. Together they will dive into hilarious costumes, invent outrageous accents, and collaborate to create wild stories on the spot. And it all culminates in a performance for friends and family on Friday.

Improv Camp isn't just about honing your funny bone, it's about making memories and friends that'll last a lifetime. And our experienced, supportive teachers will help each kid shine. Research also shows that improv helps with social-emotional awareness, empathy, communication, listening, adaptability, and much much more! If you have a fearless youngster who can't help but take center stage or a shy kiddo who wants to grow their confidence, Improv Comedy Camp at Stomping Ground could be just the thing to tickle their funny bone.

This camp is tailored to neurodiverse learners and those with Autism Level 1 or Level 2 with minimal support needs. Students will collaborate with up to 10 other students and be led by an experienced instructor and assistant. The instructor, Sydney Overton, is a drama therapist in training and has over a decade of experience working with children and adolescents with diagnosed learning differences. She will meet your child where they are through improv and play!

Campers from past years will enjoy some of their favorite exercises and activities and brand-spankin' new surprises!

Limited Diversity & Accessibility Scholarships are available for Summer Camps. Please fill out the application to be considered.

Fine Print: Improv for Neurodiverse Learners Ages 13-16 will be held 1 pm to 4 pm July 14-18. Campers must adhere to camp expectations and behavioral standards.
