Improve justice system responses to victim-survivors of sexual assault through the ALRC
Event description
The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) has just opened up submissions into an important inquiry into justice responses to sexual violence.
Fair Agenda is hosting a free 1 hour online briefing to support our members to make a submission and advocate through this process.
Making a submission is a crucial opportunity for you to share your thoughts, insights, and/or experiences, as well as any recommendations for improving the justice system for victim-survivors of sexual assault. You can choose for your submission to be confidential and you can choose to not write from personal experience.
During this online briefing, you'll learn:
- Information on the ALRC process and how it can influence policy and legislative changes.
- Guidance on how to prepare and submit a submission.
- Options for communicating your experiences and recommendations to policymakers.
- Updates on Fair Agenda’s campaigns for women’s safety.
- Opportunities to ask questions.
Date: Weds 15th May
Time: 5pm - 6pm AEST
Platform: Zoom (please RSVP to receive the details to join the online briefing.)
We look forward to having you join us for this important discussion.
