Event description

A Common Interest Work Group presented by SIRF Roundtables, Free for SIRF members!!

Major hazard facilities (MHFs) are industrial sites that store, handle or process large quantities of hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods, including petroleum products.

Examples include:

  • Oil refineries
  • Major Utilities
  • Chemical manufacturing sites
  • Gas-processing plants
  • LPG facilities
  • Some warehouses and transport depots

Nufarm Pipe Rd is a very interesting facility and kindly being virtual hosts for this session to share their learnings with just going through their safety case as a MHF and what they are doing to manage and maintain their facility. Come along and join your peers where each company can present what they are doing to maintain, manage and comply with their MHF rating and what this means to business. This will be a great opportunity to see what others have done in this area and to protect their facility and rating.

Below are some of the things folks are keen to talk over discuss and share information and learnings on. In this workshop

  • What constitutes a MHF rating for each company
  • System to maintain, manage and administer
  • Meeting legislative requirements
  • Where can we get help from an authority
  • Where can we get expertize from outside
  • Does our rating make sense compared to other companies?
